Setting a plate on top of the cake pan and carefully flipping it over (while still piping hot) was cumbersome. So, I opted for the store-bought cakes. I may start baking again, now that I’ve found this cooling rack set. The racks are 13″ in diameter, which will hold a 12″ cake. You can also use it to cool cookies, scones, or a batch of muffins.
I thought this drizzler was the perfect compliment to the cooling racks because you can drizzle your icing on the cake before you transfer it to a plate. The funnel pouring spout allows you to pour melted icing or glaze exactly where you want it, giving you more control over the presentation of your dessert. Holds up to 2/3 cups. Microwave-safe.

I thought of a colleague when I saw this at BrylaneHome. More often than not, she eats a bowl of cereal for lunch. This set includes a 12 oz. cereal bowl, a spoon that tucks into the lid, and a spill-proof 5.7 oz. milk jug. A freezer pack keeps the milk cold.

I’d heard of the term “julienne” but never bothered to figure out what it was until I started writing for this blog. The idea of cutting up carrots and zucchini into matchstick-sized portions didn’t appeal to me and still doesn’t. Mostly because I’m a lazy cook. The Kinpira Julienne Peeler was made for people like me because the only “work” involved is pulling the slicer across the skin of the vegetable.
The Saladacco is a Japanese spiral cutter that will let you make long ribbons and thin strands out of whole vegetables. While most people think of beautiful carrot salads and zucchini, I’m thinking curly fries.
