I was reminded of Tim the Toolman Taylor and his unique “man” tools when I saw this set. Instead of relying on a rack or a large plate to hold barbecue tools, serious grillers can wear them on a belt. This set comes with a grill knife, tongs and a spatula, all of which are dishwasher safe. The adjustable belt is also machine washable. Available at Sur La Table.

Put away your kebab sticks and try these skewers at your next barbecue. These stylish skewers will hold just as much food as the traditional skewers, only they’ll fit on your guests’ plates. Available in a set of 4 at Sur La Table.

I used to have the old Tupperware version of a hamburger press, but got rid of it after I had to pry the patties out of the plastic well. This press does away with that hassle. Simply place your meat on the forming tray, close the lid and press.
Make a thin patty on one side and a thick one (up to 1.5) on the other. Or, make them the same size. It’s up to you and your preferences. With Memorial Day and the Fourth of July coming, I can’t think of a better time saving tool for making and grilling hamburgers for a crowd.

I’m still window shopping for the perfect gift for my husband for Father’s Day. What guy doesn’t like a remote, especially where food and TV are concerned? This remote talking thermometer got added to my list.
Awarded five stars by Good Housekeeping Magazine, this thermometer will help you take the guesswork out of grilling steaks, hamburgers, chicken etc. Simply stick the stainless steel probes into the center of your meat. Then select the type and how well cooked you would like it to be. It’s “voice” will tell you when the meat is almost done, limiting your chances of under- or overcooking your meat.
Available at Brookstone for $75.00
