German Rouladen - A Christmas Eve Tradition

Rouladen (stuffed beef rolls) is a Christmas Eve tradition in my husband’s family, passed down from my father-in-law’s mother. My mother-in-law has since modified it to speed up the cooking process and add more flavor. She doesn’t use pickles, unlike many of the recipes I found online.

I don’t have access to her recipe because she considers it a treasure. However, I’ve included links to a variety of recipes for German Rouladen for you to try. The first link comes the closest to hers.
