I appreciate things that are a bit unique and/or handcrafted. This Pfaltzgraff service for four offers a little bit of both. I liked the shape of the salad plate right off the bat. Then there was the combination of colors, which are richer in person than in a photograph. Each dish is hand-painted, so none are exactly alike. You can also get accessories in this pattern.

This design was based on the book (included with the place setting) “Dancing with the Moon, a Story of Love at the Villa della Luna”, by Jana Kolpen and Mary Tiegreen. With the wedding season coming, I can’t think of a more perfect gift.
