Inventor, Mike Miller has invented a fork that cuts through carrots, prime rib, pizza, etc. The video demonstration is quite interesting, although I wondered how anyone could eat with this utensil without cutting their tongues. Watch the video to find out how.
Flatware tends to last about five years in my kitchen before it becomes dinged, bent or lost. The only time I notice this is when I’m entertaining family or guests and realize how mismatched my flatware is. It’s time to buy another set, as I have two half-sets in my drawer. I began looking around this morning and found this attractive set from Oneida.
My biggest pet peeve with flatware are the serving spoons, which always bend whenever I try to dish out bowls of ice cream or other hard foods. Reading through consumer reviews, I was pleased to find out how sturdy this flatware is. However, rust spots in the design area were reported by consumers who live in humid areas such as Florida.
The $80 price is about average. This set includes service for 8, with 5 serving pieces and 8 extra teaspoons.
